Boeheim Comes Out Swinging at Pitino

Today was Big East Media day in New York City and Pitino brought Gorgui and Siva along with him. As you can remember Pitino was a big proponent to staying in the Big East and not jumping ship. Pitino made comments that the addition of Memphis and Temple could replace the departure of Syracuse, West Virginia, and Pittsburgh.

Jim Boeheim when asked about this today, didn’t hold back in discrediting what Pitino was saying by claiming that Pitino was “Full of Sh**”.

In addition to this comment he says that everyone knows that if Louisville and Pitino could have left, they would have. I could be wrong, but during this realignment process, didn’t Pitino come out and say that he wants to stay in the Big East? Pitino went out on the recruiting trail for the conference and brought in teams like Memphis to help bolster the standing of the conference.

I don’t expect Pitino to comment back or fire back at this but it seems like Boeheim was way off on this subject because of how Pitino immeadiatley came in defense of the conference when all this realignment started.
