Future Card Montrezl Harrell has played two games for the USA U18 Men’s basketball team and been pretty impressive so far. On Sunday, the USA routed Mexico 110-59 in preliminary play of the FIBA Americas U18 Championship in Brazil. Harrell added 12 points on 6-6 shooting, along with 7 rebounds in 18 minutes of action. The USA team (2-0) was led by Maryland signee Jake Layman with 18 points.

Here’s what Montrezl had to say about his performance.

I am starting to feel more comfortable, yesterday I was kind out of it on account of it being the first game, but coming in today I feeling more comfortable and I think yeah were doing pretty good. Teams are getting more difficult because of their players and the different things they can do.

The USA will take the floor next Monday at 5:00 pm EST against host Brazil.
