Five-star linebacker Josh Harvey-Clemons was expected to take his final official visit to Louisville this coming weekend, but it appears those plans may be changing. His grandfather told the Atlanta Journal Constitution they have not been able to finalize travel plans with the UofL staff and feels they are done with this recruitment. Here’s what the elder Clemons had to say:
“If Louisville doesn’t respond, and Josh talks to Miami and wants to go down there, I will take Josh down to Miami myself this weekend,” Clemons said. “That will be decided tonight and Josh will make that decision. I don’t know what’s going on with Louisville. Apparently, they think it’s a ‘done deal’ and they’ve given up.”
Landing Harvey-Clemons has always been a longshot for the Cards. The longstanding feeling was/is that he will not venture too far away from his Georgia home and Florida and Georgia have been the clear leaders for some time. UofL made a big push late to give themselves a puncher’s chance. However, it sounds like they have removed themselves from consideration are moving on.
