Coach Charlie Strong made an appearance on The Jim Rome Show earlier today. With the rumors swirling around college football that Charlie Strong may be getting an offer to coach at Arkansas, he addressed those issues.
“You don’t walk away when you’re building a program, I tell these kids to be here, and then I walk away at the first opportunity? I’m not cut like that. I am happy where I am.” Coach Strong expressed today.
This is a huge sigh of relief for all Louisville fans especially after the emotional roller coaster that fans went through towards the end of the Petrino era. Some are going to say that this is just coaching talk and what else is he going to say? Which very well may be the case for some people but he had to wait almost a decade to get a head coaching job and Louisville finally offered him one.
“The Athletic Director (Tom Jurich) and President (James Ramsey) here gave me my first opportunity, I owe it to them to uphold what we had talked about.” Strong said
