Torn ACL in first practice for Mike Marra

Tragedy in the form of an injury has once again struck the Louisville Cardinals basketball team. It has been confirmed that Mike Marra has torn his ACL in the first practice back with the team and will miss the rest of the season.
The last time we saw Mike Marra was in the 2nd game of last season when he tore his ACL the first time. We likely won’t see him on the court again in a Louisville uniform.
This is terrible news for the team, the fans, and the youngster. Mike came in with loads of promise, Pitino even called him the best shooter he’d ever seen. Unfortunately we never got to see that play out on the court because so much of his career has been tainted with injuries.
The team will miss his outside shooting as I’m sure it would have played a major role this year. The cards have no other 3-point specialist. Injuries are nothing new to the team however, so don’t expect this to slow them down come tournament time.
Best of luck to Mike Marra in the future. You will always be a Cardinal.
